HASTELLOY alloy G-3 (UNS N06985 / W.Nr. 2.4619) is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. Some of the minor elements are controlled to yield increased resistance to heataffected-zone (HAZ) corrosion and improved weldability. Alloy G-3 has excellent corrosion resistance to oxidizing chemicals and atmospheres.

Hastelloy G-3 thick-walled pipe is a seamless, thick-walled Hastelloy G-3 pipe. Compared with Hastelloy G-3 seamless pipe, it not only inherits high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, but also has better high pressure resistance. Therefore, Hastelloy G-3 thick-walled tubes are often used in high-pressure equipment. In the manufacturing process, due to the thicker wall thickness, cold rolling and cold drawing processes are no longer applicable, so the Hastelloy G-3 thick-walled pipe is perforated and hot-rolled from Hastelloy G-3 round bar.
