In order for Hastelloy C to, in a wide range of environments that can be considered severe, offer superior corrosion resistance, tungsten has been added to a nickel-molybdenum-chromium super-alloy. How does this work? To maintain resistance against corrosion in as-sprayed structures, the low carbon content, during spraying, minimizes carbide precipitation.

Hastelloy C thick-walled pipe is a seamless, thick-walled Hastelloy C pipe. Compared with Hastelloy C seamless pipe, it not only inherits high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, but also has better high pressure resistance. Therefore, Hastelloy C thick-walled tubes are often used in high-pressure equipment. In the manufacturing process, due to the thicker wall thickness, cold rolling and cold drawing processes are no longer applicable, so the Hastelloy C thick-walled pipe is perforated and hot-rolled from Hastelloy C round bar.
