Hastelloy B-2 is a solid solution strengthened, nickel-molybdenum alloy, with significant resistance to reducing environments like hydrogen chloride gas, and sulfuric, acetic and phosphoric acids. Molybdenum is the primary alloying element which provides significant corrosion resistance to reducing environments.
Hastelloy B-2 hot-rolled plates are generally nickel alloy sheets & plates products with a thickness more than 3mm - 5mm. Hastelloy B-2 plate inherits the superior corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and fatigue resistance of Hastelloy B-2. In terms of the manufacturing process, Hastelloy B-2 plate can be flattened and cut from coil, it also can be directly hot rolled from Hastelloy B-2 billet. Compared with sheets, Hastelloy B-2 plates have a whiter finish.
